"Loving yourself…does not mean being self-absorbed or narcissistic, or disregarding others. Rather it means welcoming yourself as the most honored guest in your own heart, a guest worthy of respect, a lovable companion."- Margo Anand

For many of us the most difficult task is to love oneself, wholly and honestly, with respect and vulnerability. In our self-absorbed culture the weakness that is narcissism masks self-love. But narcissism is a terrible sadness and delusion. It actually closes our hearts to what is real and true: we are all made of the same human and spiritual cloth. When we fully accept who we are, we open to self-love; that love becomes the bridge of compassion that makes it possible to love everyone else. “Respect your worthy guest” and we become a world of “lovable companions.”
