In our time, “gladiators” are fiercely courageous spiritual warriors, who live from the center of their hearts. Lawyers, cops, artists and community organizers, teachers or social workers fighting for equal justice are “warriors” for peace and deep understanding. Animal rights “gladiators” defend creatures with no voice to argue against extinction. Environmental “gladiators” protect rivers, oceans, and clean air for all beings. Anyone stuck on preserving “scared cows” can’t solve the complex problems of the new paradigm we face together. True-hearted, deeply authentic spiritual warriors live beyond small, tight and tired paradigms of hate, separation, war and destruction. Bury your sacred cows! They have outlived their usefulness.
