“When you realize the value of all life, you dwell less on what is past and concentrate more on the preservation of the future.” – Dian Fossey

Who preserves the future? It’s you and I; unselfish guardians of the natural world and its obligation to balance and sustained life. It’s those of us dedicated to interdependence; who refuse silos and false separations. It’s you and me, who work for “preservation of a future;” honor the past but don’t cling to it. We are the ones! Don’t look for someone else to do the work, instead “Concentrate more; Realize value,” the future will bless you.

“Any voice that justifies hatred and tries to explain it away is dedicated to causing misery and destruction everywhere.” – Vernon Howard

People “explain away” rage and hatred with their actions. Our OWN delusions, expectations and attachments blind us to obvious clues and cues when someone reveals real, toxic, intentions. Our fears, loss, abandonment and betrayal, steer us away from what we see and know is true. Don’t “justify hatred and misery!” Stay strong and stop insanity. ACT! Embrace love and unity; the antidotes to “destruction everywhere!”

“Resentment is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.”
– Carrie Fisher

Resentment is the weakest human flaw! It clings to the past, and no matter how horrific that past may be, resentment poisons the present and future. Resentment wants vindication, settling “debts,” but its corrosive nature can’t allow new light into its dark corners to inform or forgive. Be truthful about suffering; share your past and honor heroes who fought for better times. But don’t poison the wrong person; you!

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.” – Einstein

Don’t rein in your creativity! Don’t toss out your innovation, interpretation, invention and joy! We need knowledge to inform us, wisdom to guide us, deep understanding to make us compassionate and human. We need imagination to fuel our minds, allow our creative spirits to soar and inspire changes that heal the sick, save the environment and lead us into a future of shared sustainability. Release your imagination and “encircle the world.”

“We don’t need wedge issues we need WEB issues.” – President Bill Clinton

Webs weave our bodies to our brains, emotions and spirits. Webs communicate across coordinated internet cells that encourage voices to be heard; Art to be shared; music to inspire. Webs connect our commitments to break barriers to assure justice, truth and freedom is shared. “Wedge issues,” limit, separate and destroy what guarantees our future: relationship, understanding, respect and compassion. Be a wise spider! Choose webs!

“Vitriolic hatred, enraged self righteousness is on the right and as much vitriolic hatred exists now on the left. The only sacred and safe, conscious and whole place, is the place I never thought I could stand and that place is in the middle.” – Ruby Sales

“Middle Way,” taught in philosophies of Buddhists, Sufis and Yogi’s and known as “The Good Red Road” among Native Americans, is the space between extremes where clarity and sanity reside. People who gather in the “Sacred and safe, conscious and whole place” are courageous in the grip of uncertainty and complexity. Speak well-considered, deep truths. Hold the center, extend compassion. “Vitriolic hatred” is not for heroes.

“Love is best given when nothing is expected in return.” – Rick Laurie

Love, given freely, unqualified, independent of the yoke of reciprocal need, is the closest we will ever get to understanding God, a Higher Power, or Great Spirit of any definition. Love without expectation sends out rivulets of pure energy. Nothing that is small, selfish, worried or false can attach to pure love-energy. Open hearts cast a love-future that humanity has NEVER before fully experienced. Now, THAT is a revolution worth joining!

“Although the world is full of suffering it is full also of the overcoming of suffering.” – Helen Keller

We can’t protect ourselves from suffering, but we can choose to see that even the worst of it brings us opportunity to learn, grow, change, transform, be generous, gracious, tell the truth, learn, understand, and unite right-intention with right-action. Suffering will always be with us; OVERCOMING suffering is the opportunity it brings us.

“I am not going to die, I’m going home like a shooting star.” – Sojourner Truth

A life well-lived determines every moment as possibility! We express heart-mind-body-spirit and we live life at its fullest. Integrating all of who we are, we understand we dance with the entire cosmos: all that’s been created before us or will come after us. We are “made of the stuff of stardust!” Staying aware of that fact we see each moment as an opportunity to be a “shooting star.”

“Keep yourself away from answers but alive in the middle of the question.” – Colum McCann

People stuck in “answers” don’t win big games of life, love, compassion and deep, authentic, connection. It’s the Courageous Creatives who stay “alive in the middle of the question” and explore new pathways to possibility and opportunity who impact the future. Closed minds cling to answers past the “buy by” date; fear critical thinking and loss of control. Stay curious, push deeper into understanding. Creative, innovative and TRUE are your reward.
