Message From Bobbie:

December: We end the year’s quest, “hear the Inner Call; follow it to LIFE PURPOSE,” with a PARADOX! Refusing to “cease from exploration,” the deeper we enter the mystery of ourselves, the clearer it becomes; we “arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.” REALLY? All that work to end at the start?

Did we hear the Call to Purpose and IGNORE IT? Allow attachment to family systems, community cultures and beliefs, to disrupt and determine our empowering quest? Did our fragile egos confuse or blind us? Lose faith? Lose confidence?

For eleven months at Rise Up! we courageously dug our personal Inner Garden. We UN-patterned past patterns; practiced mindful breathing, opening the space for our TRUE Self-definition to arise. November we declared gratitude for ourselves in order to live up to our highest and best use and PURPOSE!

IF we are “arriving at the same place,” why the heck did we put ourselves to this year’s HARD task? How could it be that we are “seeing it for the first?”

Featured Journal Entry:

Arriving

Holly is over six feet tall, an elegant presence in our Rise Up group: confident and serenely composed. But it’s her vulnerable humor that makes her story memorable. “Change? Transformation? Words that scare others who want small lives empower me! BUT, they say, ‘bigger they are, harder they fall’ and I spent the Rise Up! year falling all over myself. At my size that’s a dangerous thing for everyone in the way!”

Holly tells us she experiences LIFE as a “little like war! Dukes up, ‘ok, life, hit me with your best shot!’ Explore my inner garden, dig and rake?? Hell, no! I go at it with BACKHOE and EXCAVATE! If Life Purpose wasn’t easily calling me I was going straight through the brick wall of my own resistance, of any barrier, and living PURPOSE on my own terms! I worked HARD this year and used the Rise Up! lessons month by month. Now, in December, the shock is that, Yes, I heard that Inner Call all my life and yet I AM EXPERIENCING IT in an entirely different way! I am embracing Purpose and ‘knowing it AS IF for the FIRST TIME!’

Featured Exercise:

  1. THIS is the hardest time of year to calm. Expectations, our own and others, take us away from the calm, that supposedly honors the season, and into frenzy and obligations. TODAY, commit to starting each day with the three deep breaths. Before the day begins, before the first cup of coffee or first text message, BREATHE consciously and FULLY. Close your eyes, run your breath down your spine and out your limbs; ground into Mother Earth and set the day’s intention. MAKE your intention consist with your INNER CALL, and with your LIFE PURPOSE! You DO know what it is!
  2. ALL DAY TODAY: Imagine you are ARRIVING, by plane, train, on a boat in a car, on a cloud or on the back of a UNICORN! You are arriving at the end of your year’s journey into LIFE PURPOSE. The beauty is that NOW you are older, wiser and more practical while still young enough to ENGAGE possibility!
  3. LISTEN to the Call with the ears of this year’s experience and with eyes wide open. Don’t RUSH this time. Take December and review our work in 2014. Weigh options; take NOTHING for granted! You earned your Life Purpose; you have proven yourself over and over again. BE GRATEFUL that you have ARRIVED and KNOW we’re all finding “the selves” we always knew and yet knowing that TRUE SELF for the FIRST TIME! Welcome to your new/old LIFE! Happy Holidays! Please join us in 2015 for our next Rise Up! adventure!

About Bobbie

In 2011, on a beautiful ranch in Santa Ynez, California, Bobbie created her "Rise Up!" movement as a means of empowering women to create the lives, relationships and careers that they were meant to have. It was named after Bobbie's ability to find possibility and opportunity in the midst of change and even crisis. Through one-on-one sessions and group workshops that she has done since 2008 Bobbie has helped participants reach their own epiphanies. Read more...
