Message From Bobbie:

As we close the first quarter of the new year, we fire up our Resolutions with the power of Right Action:

“Right” - because the effort we apply is aligned with our goals to create change. We do this through deep, personal and balanced resolutions.

“Action” - because we do not hesitate. We move powerfully and systematically towards our goals.

Resolution to Right-Action

“I had this down,” said Corey during one of our workshop follow-up calls. “I finally had a four-fold plan with the intention of becoming my best self, for myself. I really thought I understood all the concepts, but then I spent the next month spinning like a top!”

Corey found in the follow-up session that she had overloaded her schedule. She had enthusiastically embraced all she could become and had made a plan that included the Four Fold Path: mind, body, spirit and emotions. She knew the right things to do for the right reasons – she just wasn’t actually doing them!

“I realized I was learning, thinking and planning a lot, but not actually moving toward my resolutions,” she said. “I was stuck in the spin cycle of my mind. I made lists and re-read all of the materials, but I was not moving forward in a consistent, organized manner. My effort was scattered, and soon I gave up the parts I needed most. For example, I gave up meditation in order to catch up with a yoga class, or I missed the class, so I could keep my commitment to write in my journal daily.”

Featured Exercise:

  1. In January, Resolution to Reality helped us create goals aligned with our highest purposes. They benefitted ourselves so that we could cast a wide net to benefit others as well. Remind yourself what those resolutions are (or were). Do they still seem realistic? Choose ONE that really gets your attention and commitment to try it.
  2. In February, we wove mind, body, spirit and emotion to create the Four Fold Path so our resolutions are focused and balanced, and support all of who we are. Remind yourself what it means to have a spiritual program that serves your mind, emotions and body (and then reverse the order of those four so that you can experience the wholeness of Four Fold Path life).
  3. This month, take significant Right-Action! Choose a resolution and assign an ACTION to it that is RIGHT for you. You can start with any of the Four Fold Path.
